I’m Jessica Pina, a mother of three, chef and lover of all things inappropriate. Born in Los Angeles on December of 1983 and currently residing in San Antonio, TX. I grew up all over southern California and spent some time in Acapulco, Mexico where both my parents are from. After graduating culinary school, I launched my career as Executive Chef at a boutique tea room in Pasadena, CA for six years where I did everything from scrub dishes and floors to assisting in the designing of the kitchen expansion. After doing the stand alone restaurant bit and becoming a new mom, I was Sous Chef at 20th Century Fox Film Corporation for five years where I managed three of the five restaurant operations on the lot. There, I created menus that changed everyday and launched a successful juice bar with a coworker that would later become my fiancé. In 2014, after the birth of my second baby, we moved to San Antonio, TX. For two years I was the Banquet Chef at the Omni Hotel in downtown. As of late I’m the Executive Chef at the Omni Hotel San Antonio at the Colonnade. I’m the first female Exec Chef the company has had.
I’m starting With Love, Jes bc I’ve always wanted to blog and share useful and useless tidbits of information. My fiancé and I live with our three kids Logan, Charlie, Esme, two cats Hendrix and Joplin and our lab-weimariner Jedi. I love nachos, anything pistachio, plants and the sound of stepping on dry leaves. You can find me driving my kids to soccer reciting 90’s gangster rap at the top of my lungs.
