Am I the only one who buys fruit in bulk and never finishes it? Lately we resort to fresh fruit jam. We make chunky jams and can them for later. Such an easy and delicious way to make sure you don’t have waste. I had fresh nectarines and figs, a couple pantry items and you’re all set. As I’ve told you guys before, I love sweet and savory flavors. These jams were no exception. Check out another sweet and savory recipe here. I made nectarine, vanilla bean and thyme jam. I also made fig, balsamic and rosemary. These recipes can be adapted to any seasonal fruit of your choice. The pie dough is also really easy and can be made ahead of time and frozen until you are ready to use. Feel free to use these jams on toast or on a bagel, my daughter had the nectarine jam with greek yogurt… delish!
