Monday… am I right? We’ve had a busy and interesting week. As most of you know, i’ve spent most of my life married to the job. As a chef, it’s kind of inevitable. There are going to be some significant changes in the future and due to that, we decided to take Charlie out of school. So her and Esme have been home with me beginning this past week. For those of you who know Charlie, know that she’s a sassy energetic girl who needs to be challenged regularly, so it was very difficult deciding to keep her home. With that said, the dynamic has changed. Esme is a very quiet and good baby so the house has made a complete 360 this week. I’ve had to plan a weekly routine to accommodate both my daughters AND nursing (Just saying it makes me tired!). It’s been rough but i think we’re getting there. I’ve also decided to immerse Logan in as many school and extra curricular activities as possible. We started Cub Scouts, Fall soccer and after school clubs. So yeah! I’ve always had this guilt for not being there as much for my kids because I’ve worked so hard my whole career. I know i shouldn’t and I think us parents notice more so than our kids but I suffer from wanting to “give my children what I didn’t have” syndrome. Of course, trying not to create monsters along the way. It’s hard out here mommas. For ALL mommas! Working and not. Adam’s going to be traveling the whole month of October and I’m freaking out internally. Did I mention i was going back to work too? To all the moms out there hustling in and outside your house, you got this and your doing a great job! Motherhood to me is the hardest and most rewarding job and all I see is us doing our best to give our families the most. What challenges do you guys face as moms? How do you guys make it work?
Here’s a couple pictures of the week. We go on a walk everyday before lunch or go outside and chalk up the sidewalk. The weather here has been so bipolar i can’t take it. Some days fall is in the air and others feel like August. I’ve let Logan take some pictures and I must say this little dude has a good eye for it. Have a great week everyone!
