For those of you not familiar with Texas summers…. they’re brutal… with a mother effing capital B!! Upper 90’s to hundreds with 90% humidity ALL. SUMMER. LONG!! I meeeeann… cmon! So anyway, all summer the kids were either at the pool or doing something to get wet and cool off. Because the baby is so small I haven’t wanted to take her to a public pool yet so I looked up a splash pad and found this one. It’s actually super nice and HUGE. I took the kids there once before on a sweltering day. This weekend Adam and i took the kids to take advantage of the weather. Surprisingly, it was a beautiful day. It reminded me of California weather (insert tear drops here). It was warm but fresh and nice enough for the kids to run around in the water. Still savoring these last summer days… so put your damn pumpkin spice away! We Have a couple days left before its official.
For all my TX mamas, this was a bit of a drive for us but it’s a huge park with a splash pad and skate park area. I haven’t explored too much but it looks like there may be some hiking trails. I suggest going during the week or early in the morning if you can to avoid swarms of people.
